Known as the “Tree of Growing Creativity” the first 2.5 metres high wire baobab tree was made in January-February 2002 and stand at the entrance of Soekershof. It’s nowadays part of the Land Art Project in South Africa.
The second tree stands in the (new) South African Embassy in Berlin and since the installation over there Joey’s career got momentum with wire works in galleries, museums and private collections around the world including more copies of the original wire baobab but also smaller xamples of this majestic tree.
